Project Deliverables :
(i) A research study on international practices, customer requirements, industrial practices, technical specifications, and common problems faced by SMEs in the medical and healthcare devices sector.
(ii) A pilot scheme to guide through 3 representative medical device SMEs on setting up the effective operation and distribution system.
(iii) A reference manual on good distribution practices based on the findings and experience of the pilot scheme which will serve as self-learning materials to help SME distributors set up their own distribution systems.
(iv) A case book containing specific cases on the building of effective storage, stock handling and delivery operation, maintenance of distribution records, setting up of complaint handling procedures, maintenance and service arrangements, tracking of specific medical devices, recall procedures and issue of alerts and modification.
(v) One awareness seminar, three dissemination seminars and seven training workshops to disseminate the project results to the industry.
(vi) A help desk to handle email and phone enquiries.
(vii) A project website for promoting the project deliverables and free download.
