English Title : Introduction of FHS001:2013 to enhance the operation of food hygiene and safety performance in catering sector

Project Deliverables : (i) A study to understand the current operation of restaurants in Hong Kong and the expectation of relevant industry stakeholders;

(ii) Three seminars to introduce the project and the blueprints for implementing FHS 001:2013;

(iii) A charter programme to encourage SME restaurants to upgrade their food hygiene and safety system to meet FHS 001:2013;

(iv) Four workshops to teach SMEs the requirements and application of FHS 001:2013;

(v) One-on-one on-site consultation on 30 SME restaurants that participate in the charter programme to observe their operations and provide suggestions for improvement;

(vi) An award presentation ceremony cum experience sharing session for the charter programme;

(vii) A project report to summarise the project deliverables and suggest improvement measures for SMEs with experience sharing by participants of the charter programme;

(viii) Project webpages and promotional activities (including advertisements on newspapers and industry magazines, panel advertisements on MTR, advertisements on bus and e-DMs).
