Project Deliverables :
(i) A patent analytics research on the global (including Hong Kong) innovation and patent filing trends;
(ii) A survey to understand the general views of the industries on the trends identified by the patent analytics research, intellectual property (IP) protection through patent filing and the Hong Kong’s patent system;
(iii) Interviews with five enterprises to understand their IP protection strategies and the difficulties they faced;
(iv) Three focus group meetings to collect views from stakeholders on the possible ways to tackle the difficulties faced in respect of IP protection and patent filing;
(v) A review study on Hong Kong’s IP protection regime;
(vi) A Patent Landscape Report (PLR) to capture the findings of the patent analytics research, survey, interviews, focus group meetings and review study;
(vii) A launch event to publicise the PLR and discuss its key findings and the implications on Hong Kong’s role as the international innovation and technology centre and regional IP trading centre;
(viii) Three seminars to disseminate the key findings of the PLR with highlights on specific topics;
(ix) A project website to disseminate project information; and
(x) Advertisements to promote the PLR and project activities.
