Project Deliverables :
(i) A desktop research to understand the international and national product safety standards or regulations that are applicable to beauty and hair products commonly used or sold at salons in Hong Kong;
(ii) Consultations with 23 stakeholders to collect information about their current practice on product selection, the related challenges, their views on the coverage of the guidebook and feedback on the draft guidebook;
(iii) A guidebook to provide guidance to beauty and hair salons on the selection of products that comply with international and national product safety standards or regulations;
(iv) A kick-off seminar to introduce the project and recruit participants for the stakeholders’ consultations;
(v) Two training seminars to introduce the guidebook and help industry practitioners adopt the best practice on product selection;
(vi) Project webpages to disseminate the guidebook and information about the project; and
(vii) A series of promotional activities, including eDMs, printed and online advertisements.
