Applicant enterprises may also obtain information on activities and platforms/media funded by EMF in the past 12 months from the “List of Previously Approved Activities/Trade Publications/Electronic Platforms or Media”.
An organiser may seek advice from the Trade and Industry Department (TID) on the eligibility of its trade exhibition targeting the local market or online trade exhibition for funding support under EMF. The organiser should provide in writing to TID information on the concerned exhibition (including the name, objective and scope of the exhibition, date of the exhibition, details of the exhibition venue or layout of the online exhibition, price schedule for the exhibitors, etc.). TID will make a preliminary assessment on the eligibility of the concerned exhibition and provide a written response. Information on the exhibition preliminarily assessed as eligible for EMF will also be uploaded to this webpage. Organisers and enterprises should note that this preliminary assessment does not guarantee the approval for funding support under EMF in relation to the exhibition. Any subsequent change in the nature, scope or other arrangements of the exhibition may affect the eligibility of the exhibition for EMF. Depending on the situation, TID’s officers may conduct site visit on the physical exhibition to ensure that the conditions for the exhibition are properly enforced.
If the activity you would like to attend has not been preliminary assessed as eligible for EMF, you may still apply for the EMF on a reimbursement basis after the completion of the activity. The eligibility of the activity will be assessed with the application.
