Note on the Preliminary Assessment Result

Enquirers seeking for preliminary advice from the TID on the eligibility of the aforementioned specific promotion activity for funding support under the EMF should note the following:

  1. The TID will make a preliminary assessment on the eligibility of the activity in question and provide a written response.
  2. The eligibility of the activity is assessed in reliance on the information provided and declared by the enquirer.  Any subsequent change in the nature, scope or other arrangements of the activity may affect its eligibility for the EMF.
  3. The preliminary assessment of an eligible activity is not an approval for funding support under the EMF in relation to the activity.
  4. You may search from the official webpage of the EMF for information on the promotion activities, including local and overseas trade exhibitions, which have been approved under the EMF during the last 12 months.  Applications in connection with participation in these activities will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  5. Previous approval for funding support in relation to a particular activity does not guarantee that the same activity will be eligible for funding support in future.  The TID will evaluate each activity and application having regard to the prevailing circumstances.
  6. Applicant enterprises are strongly advised to read the EMF Guide to Application (the Guide) in detail so as to ensure compliance to the relevant funding requirements and conditions.  The TID may from time to time update the Guide to include revised requirements and conditions arising from the latest development of the EMF.  Such additional information may be promulgated through the official webpage of the EMF.
